You already know your wedding dress is precious to you but there are potential issues in storing your gown incorrectly. Marks, especially drink spills, will darken over time and become difficult or even impossible to remove. Many other untreated stains are likely to cause permanent marking if not treated. 

Fading – unless kept out of sunlight will cause fading in areas.
Dust – household dust collects and will easily mark your dress.
Mildew – when the dress is subject to changes in room temperature the moisture in the air condenses causing damp patches. This results in unsightly mildew patches and is especially likely if stored in a polythene bag.
Yellowing – occurs as a possible result of not using correct packaging materials.

We are often asked about this question but it is simply not possible to guarantee the removal of every mark and stain from every type of material.  However, we can guarantee that we will strive to achieve the best results

Many dress designs involve delicately designed embellishments. There’s always a risk despite the precautions we take. Sometimes threads that are extremely weak can break.

It is vital your dress is packaged properly inside a secure and correctly labelled box. If so, it will be insured for loss and damage during transit. Our insurance also covers issues occurring during cleaning where the process is found to be at fault.

In the rare event of a claim, to obtain a valuation, our insurers will use industry guidelines. this means that the dress will be valued at half the purchase price.

We cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for loss or damage to any dress unless received boxed. It very important that the dress is securely packaged within a box as described. 

We have access to very skilled staff who can inspect the dress. Once your dress is received we will inform you of what action is required.
